At what age did you begin learning your instrument? ​
I began to learn the piano when I was 8 years old.

Where did you study?
I studied piano with Professor Niel Immelman at Kingston University, London.

Please tell us more about your music experiences.
I worked in the United Arab Emirates and in Egypt for 10 years. During my time I taught classroom music and piano to primary school children as well as leading the choirs and junior orchestra.​

Whilst living in the United Arab Emirates, what performance experience did you have?
In the Emirates the children and I performed to Sheikh Al Qasami, the ruler of Sharjah as he walked around the school. In Egypt when I taught music at the British School of Alexandria the choir and I performed at the annual El Alamein Commemoration. The school prize giving took place at the Bibliotheca of Alexandra and we performed there.

Apart from music, what other hobbies do you have?
I like to go out on walks, I enjoy swimming, reading, going to the theatre, tai chi but most of all, travel, travel, travel!

If you had one piece of advice for music students, what would it be?
Say 'hello' to your instrument every day with practice and enjoy making and listening to music.
