Here at Music Academy for Schools (MAS), we are extremely passionate about music and we are proud to have a lively and vibrant community of students, parents, volunteers and teachers.

Our mission at MAS is to give our students opportunities, inspiration and the skills to explore the world of music.  Through weekly lessons, regular rehearsals, workshops and concerts not only do our students receive a well-round musical education but they form many strong friendships and make lots of memories.  Learning a musical instrument is an extremely fun challenge and we strive to give all children an opportunity to experience the joy that music can bring to our lives.

All our teachers are active musicians playing in different ensembles from symphony orchestra to theatre pit band and rock band to function band.  Our teachers visit many different schools during the academic week and offer instrumental tuition on a vast range of instruments.  Some of the teachers also deliver full classroom music lessons and weekly rehearsals.

Students are encouraged to further their learning by joining our weekly ensembles; these include Swing Band, Wind Band, Brass Group, Family Band, Musical Theatre Group and smaller ensembles.  Regular concerts and shows are organised each term, plus several smaller performances.  Members of the ensembles have had the opportunity to tour Belgium, France, Holland, Isle of Wight and other areas in the UK.  We are looking forward to touring Scotland next year.
